Professional Learning for ELC Educators

Enriching Aotearoa New Zealand’s histories through learning programmes.

Opportunities to do things differently abound for learning specialists and educators who enrich local curricula. This in person workshop provides access to key messages that teachers and schools are receiving about the refreshed social sciences curriculum, including Aotearoa New Zealand’s Histories, through Ministry-funded PLD. Participants will have opportunities to engage with He Pā Harakeke, a Kaupapa Māori informed, generative process to support the implementation of the new curriculum, developed ASSEN by and NZHTA. The workshop includes time for applying the process and considering ways to strengthen connections to the diversity of learning and teaching programmes in schools.

The workshop will be held at Wellington Museum, in the Von Kohorn Room.
